The group from the U.S. are vegan style, and they mentioned that many vegan dishes in Japan tend to use a lot of tofu. That’s true — it would be nice to see a wider variety of vegan options beyond tofu.

The group from Australia sometimes make okonomiyaki at home, so they found it especially interesting that we used Japanese mountain yam (nagaimo) in today’s cooking class.
They also said they love Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki.

We hope that they enjoy many kinds of good japanese food during this stay
