Annika is vegetarian, so the instructor prepared both regular menu and a vegetarian version in the session. They especially loved the okonomiyaki and enjoyed it so much!
Annika was also impressed by the spinach with sesame dressing (goma-ae). When we grind sesame seeds by ourseoves, the aroma is so much richer and more fragrant than store-bought sesame paste.
A suribachi (Japanese mortar) is not only for grinding sesame seeds but also for other uses. It can even be used as a serving bowl and looks beautiful on the table✨
